PUBLISHER’S PLAYBOOK T he world of pickleball is constantly changing and progressing. And I love being part of it! Last month, we had the pleasure of visiting USAPA Ambassadors at their annual retreat in Port St. Lucie, Florida. The atmosphere was full of positive energy—ambassadors have a great recipe for making learning feel more like a party. But who would expect anything less from a large gathering of pickleball enthusiasts? The East Coast PPR conference was held at Palmetto Dunes in Hilton Head last month as well. PPR put together an excellent, informative symposium. We enjoyed some time on the courts, too! The PPR is growing fast and it’s exciting to watch it happen. Dan Santorum and Sarah Ansboury are doing an amazing job. They’re bringing new pros in every day. We also had the pleasure of interviewing Utah’s Mo Mansaray for our “Pickleball Around the World” department. Mo is growing the game in his home country of Sierra Leone. The photos and the reason for Mo's visit are beautiful. The story is on page 58. To gain some insight on organizing and running a successful local tournament, Pickleball Magazine spoke to Terri Graham, co-founder of one of the most successful tournaments in the world—the Minto US Open Pickleball Championships.
