Regional matters continued HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE PICKLEBALL CHALLENGE NEW 14-COURT COMPLEX WILL PLAY HOST TO 2019 HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE PICKLEBALL CHALLENGE H ot Springs Village in Arkansas is home to the country’s largest gated community and will play host to the 2019 Hot Springs Village Pickleball Challenge, a USAPA- sanctioned event April 26-28. Featuring 14 brand-new outdoor pickleball courts, this beautiful property nestled by the Ouachita Mountains in central Arkansas also lays claim to nine championship golf courses, 11 clearwater lakes and 30 miles of hiking and biking trails. Tournament directors Sandy and Jim McPherson are looking forward to a great tournament and showcasing their new outdoor pickleball facility. USAPA ATLANTIC SOUTH REGIONAL TOURNAMENT MOVES INSIDE! riffin, Georgia, has been a terrific host to the Atlantic South Regional Tournament for the past two years, but organizers are changing things up for 2019. The three-day tournament, which begins Aug. 23, is moving indoors to the Foley Event Center in Foley, Alabama. The 90,000-sq.-ft. venue allows for 18 indoor courts on a textured glare-free floor with excellent lighting and bleacher seating at each court. The tournament hotel is right next door to the venue, and there are lots of other attractions to keep everyone happy, including an amusement park, retail, dining and entertainment—just a short walk away.
