TAKE ADVANTAGE OF TIMEOUTS
In basic play, each team can take two 60-second timeouts per game. Unfortunately, many teams, especially those new to tournament play, work really hard-only to lose. And they never take advantage of this important element of the game. Don’ t forget that you have timeouts and you can use them strategically as needed.
CATCH YOUR BREATH The first reason to take a timeout seems totally obvious, but many people actually don’ t do it. If you’ re physically exhausted, call a timeout to rest. Catch your breath, grab some more water, breathe. Sometimes winning or losing may not be about skill, but endurance, and taking a moment to refresh yourself may help you just enough to get back in the game and win.
