Lots of families enjoy sharing the same activities together , but it ’ s rare that they all go into business together around a single shared passion . But for the Elliott family — Robert , Jodi , Joshua and Rachel — the allure of pickleball was all-powerful and is now a way of life , not just a hobby .
An already active family , the Elliotts , like many pickleball fans , were tennis converts . Robert had been playing tennis since he was 8 years old in the USTA
Juniors . He played Division I college tennis and some local leagues . Jodi started tennis at 12 and played local tournaments and in high school . The pair had crossed paths without even knowing it , playing tennis at the same club for years without knowing each other or that they were destined to be together until fate intervened and they married .
