FROM THE PRESIDENT
It was 2002 when Nancy and I decided to hit the road and see America. We really had no idea what we were going to do other than visit America. Along the way we found a game with a funny name called pickleball. It not only changed our lives and direction for our retirement years, but it gave us a great new friendship circle. So over the years we have tried to give back to the sport because it gave us so much. We have done that by working
DAVID JORDAN not only to promote our favorite sport as we traveled but to work within the organization that has provided the sport the guidance it needed to succeed. We know so many of you have also given of your time, energies and monies to do the same as ambassadors, teachers, referees, committee and board members and promoters of the sport. You are the reason for the success pickleball has had and we all thank you.
Watch for exciting news about new programs, new board members, staff and expansion of existing programs. 2017 will also be my last year as your president. It has been a great privilege for me to hold this office but at the end of 2017, I will turn the reins over to someone new. Although I will remain on the board as past president, you will have a new leader. Nancy and I will look forward to having additional time to travel and visit all the pickleball friends we have met over the last 14 years.
2017 is going to be another banner year for pickleball and we look forward to the challenges it will bring. With your help it will continue to be one of the fastest growing sports in this country and internationally.
