Paranto and Seymour Rifkind. We intend to develop a booklet
outlining guidelines for pickleball clinics and boot camps. In the
meantime, the committee is recommending three guidelines
that we expect every IPTPA member to follow immediately:
1) The ratio of students to instructors will be a maximum
of 8 to 1. Based on the IPTPA mission to provide the
highest value to each of our clients, it is the committee’s
conclusion that a ratio which exceeds 8 to 1 significantly
diminishes the quality of instruction and coaching —
something IPTPA will not tolerate.
2) During instruction, students will be grouped with
like‑skilled players.
3) It is encouraged that IPTPA professionals only participate
in clinics where the staff is comprised entirely of other
IPTPA members. A consistent message coming from all
instructors is absolutely essential to avoid confusion to
our players. All IPTPA members have been exposed to the
same teaching methodologies and are in agreement as
to the fundamentals of the sport and how they are to be
taught.
