Hello Fellow Pickleballers ,
Welcome to the fourth bi-monthly issue of Pickleball Magazine . We have received many comments and suggestions for future story ideas . I appreciate all of your letters and am working to implement many of your suggestions . Please keep them coming to Wayne @ thePickleballMag . com .
In this issue , you will find some exciting new items . First , we welcome the International Pickleball Teaching Professional Association ( IPTPA ). The organization , founded by Seymour Rifkind , is dedicated to standardizing teaching practices and certifying pickleball instructors . We look forward to learning from and working with the IPTPA for many years to come !
Next , the August issue focuses on pickleball in numerous locations including Europe , North Carolina , the Atlantic South , Southern California ( the SoCal Classic ), and Centralia ( the International Indoor Pickleball Championships ). Additionally , you can read about the great things our friends are doing for others , such as Pittsburgh ’ s Pickleball Classic event to benefit Parkinson ’ s research and the wonderful things being done through para-pickleball programs for the physically disabled .
Finally , Pickleball Magazine would also like to recognize the increasing efforts the USAPA is extending to make tournaments more professionally organized by hiring Christine Barksdale as the USAPA Managing Director of Competition — a new position created for tournament participant enjoyment .
