PATRIOT PICKLEBALL ANNOUNCES FIRST“ QUIET” PADDLE to meet all USAPA specs
Patriot Pickleball, LLC, a
Holland, Ohio, paddle maker, is announcing its first truly“ Quiet” paddle to meet all USAPA specs. The SNIPER is the first in a line of four paddle models and will be available from select online and storefront retailers this summer. Coming soon after the SNIPER, the line of paddles will also include the GREEN BERET, a“ Quiet Control” paddle; the RANGER, a“ Quiet” Combine paddle; and a RECRUIT for schools, parks and recreation play. All are made in the USA.
Unlike typical honeycomb core and skin construction which produces loud“ drum effect” sounds when striking the ball, Patriot Pickleball’ s patent-pending foam encasement of the honeycomb core is a coating of random sized bubbles which have no“ drum effect,” resulting in a“ Quiet” paddle.
The SNIPER, GREEN BERET AND RANGER will all employ a patent pending HDS3 high density sweet spot system, delivering significant power in a medium weight paddle( the SNIPER), a combination of both power and control in a lighter weight paddle( the RANGER) and exceptional control and quickness in a lightweight paddle( the GREEN BERET).
All models are molded from high-performance rigid structural polyurethane foam encasing a polymer honeycomb insert with a welded-in high density polypropylene sweet spot disc. This innovative single-piece construction eliminates delaminating, loose edge guards and loose butt caps. The cosmetics are printed on vinyl with a polycarbonate coating for exceptionally long life.
Wayne Goodwin, owner of Patriot Pickleball and inventor of the“ Quiet” paddles says that in addition to great playing characteristics, his paddles“… will be the standard against which all other paddles will be measured for quietness.” •
