Pickleball Magazine 1-2 | Page 6
FROM THE PUBLISHER
Welcome to our second issue of
Pickleball Magazine!
What an amazing response we’ve received from
such an amazing audience! In just two months,
so much has happened on our end that I am
excited to report about.
16,603 READERS
Thanks to modern internet tracking
capabilities, we were able to measure how
many people read the first issue online
and in print. I am so pleased to announce that
the first issue was read by not less than 16,603
unique readers in print and online combined.
10 MINUTES AND 45 SECONDS
For our online component, a link to the magazine was emailed to all
USAPA members as well as the clientele of our friends at Pickleball Rocks,
Gamma Sports, Pro-Lite, iDink and Pickleball Central. Over 13,000 online
readers were time-tracked to have an average read time of 10 minutes and
45 seconds. That’s nearly 3,000 hours of reading!
To break it down a little further, 52% of our online readers were on desktop
computers, while 22% were on mobile devices and 26% were on tablets.
650 NEW SUBSCRIBERS
Since our premier issue launched just 60 days ago, we have sold 700 new
subscriptions to readers in dozens of states. We anticipate thousands
more over the coming issues this year. If you are reading this and would
like to become a direct-mail subscriber to our bimonthly print edition, go to
www.thepickleballmag.com.
BARNES & NOBLE
The next bit of great news is that Barnes & Noble took an interest and will be
selling Pickleball Magazine across the country in hundreds of stores. This will
increase our circulation by thousands of new readers. Pickleball has arrived!
Finally, we have received hundreds of emails, letters and phone calls offering
the most encouraging words. On the other side of the coin, we would also
like to hear constructive criticism and/or content ideas to improve what we’re
developing here. My phone and address are listed on this page. I am available
pretty much anytime!
Thank you for taking the time to read Pickleball Magazine!
