Jamaica ’ s 2020 NDC submission is grounded and credible . The island ’ s unconditional commitment to reducing emissions is now more than 60 percent greater than its first NDC .
Jamaica is strengthening transparency
and building capacity for effective NDC implementation within its finance ministry . In fact , Jamaica is the first country in the English-speaking Caribbean to join the Coalition of Finance Ministers for Climate Action . The Jamaican Government is also developing an ambitious Long-Term Strategy that includes a Measurement , Reporting , and Verification framework and implementation tracking .
