enchanting sounds of the creatures of the
rainforest. Or gaze up at the starry sky while
you take a dip in one of the plunge pools.
We all want to stay connected to the
world while we reconnect with nature.
Chris knows some of us need our internet,
our office space, our apple tv on our flat
screens with surround sound. High end
technology is also a sweet benefit for those
who can’t “unplug” completely.
The beauty outside is complimented by
the flawless form and layout of the
interior. Beautiful lighting throughout the
villas highlight the clean and comfortable
designed rooms, modern flare with
European influences, accented with bright
and bold paintings from local artists. A
pallet of rich neutral tones throughout
with splashes of bright tropical green in
some rooms, bold pink, blue and purple in
others. The owner put considerable
thought into the overall scheme, from the
pattern in the beamed ceilings, to the
glassware in the wet bar, down to the
beautiful marble in the bathrooms,
complete attention was given to detail.
The Hill Estate was built to create three
distinct living environments, separate yet
connected in a way that several families can
enjoy the property all at once. The owner
devised a rather unique way to connect the
upper villa to the lower properties on the
other side of a jungle crevice: “The monkey
bridge.” With the help of British architects
and Chris Hill’s vision, an expansion bridge
was built in England, shipped over and
constructed on the island to become the
link needed to bridge the land. The three
detached villas are secluded enough that
privacy is still afforded, each is unique in its
function and purpose and yet can easily be
seen as a whole estate.
The Honeymoon Haven: the smallest
of the three with a large master bath and
bedroom, with a spectacular view of
Pinney’s Beach
from the expansive
windows. It has a
deck and plunge
pool, a small fridge
and sink but no
kitchen, if you’re
on your
honeymoon, who
wants to be
cooking.
The Private
Party Residence:
This is a large
retreat space with
two bedrooms and
outdoor shower in
the master, large
living/entertaining space opening up to
the pool area. Water cascades down to a
smaller plunge pool below. A lovely
kitchen and dining area as well. This
property is made more exclusive by its
additional rooms. The Four Seasons Spa
and work out facilities are amazing, but as
a resident in this special villa you are
privy to the personal gym and indoor spa
treatment room. Natural light pours into
the exercise facility through the glass
doors leading out to the plunge pool.
Aqua blue water shimmers through the
stunning architectural cut out window
which gives view into the bottom of the
main pool. Any spa treatment can be
performed in the couples massage room.
The Large Villa: This beautiful
property has a master suite, two
additional bedrooms with two queen-size
beds in each as well as a separate
dwelling on-site over the two car-garage
which has another master bedroom and
bath. The ability to accommodate a large
family or group under one roof makes
this villa unique. This two-story, three-
bedroom, five bathroom main house
features two large interior living spaces
and a spacious veranda. An office,
laundry room and large kitchen round off
the interior features. A large outdoor
dining table and grill adjacent to the
infinity pool and lounging furniture make
this another enjoyable living space. The
garage houses two 6-seater golf carts for
transportation around the resort. Exterior
steps lead up to a separate entrance into
the additional master suite, like the
honeymoon villa, this has a lovely master
bath and boasts an outdoor shower. Mr.
Hill, always looking to improve upon
perfection has plans to add a gym and
plunge pool to this part of the estate as
well as an outdoor shower to the main
house master bath.
Whether it’s a honeymoon, anniversary,
birthday celebration or no reason at all,
the Hill Estate brings family together, large
or small. The need for rest and relaxation
is real, stress has sadly become part of
everyday life and the search for a remedy
is ongoing. Thankfully the Hill Estate, a
Four Seasons Resort property, nestled
within the Nevisian rainforest, fills the
prescription for paradise.
