What Our Providers and UNR Med Students Have to Say About Teaching the Next Generation
Dr. Daniel Chang, OBGYN Physician, joined Renown after a 30-year career in private practice. Relocating to Reno to mentor medical students and residents, Dr. Chang values the collegial atmosphere and supportive nursing staff on the labor and delivery team. Taking on the lead of the Generalist Division, he aims to leverage his extensive experience to enhance patient access and provider satisfaction.
“ We have department leadership that is ambitious to develop a strong women ' s health service and a leading postgraduate training program.” Dr. Chang shared.“ I really enjoy interacting with the UNR Med students as it ' s refreshing to see the optimism and enthusiasm that have with each new experiences. You have the opportunity to be as involved as you wish with their education.”
“ I get a lot of energy from teaching and working with learners, and Renown offers me the ability to both practice medicine and work with learners in both the classroom and clinical settings. The most impressive thing I have found working with Renown is leadership ' s responsiveness and openness to their employees. I have felt great support in the different nonclinical interests I have, and in my experience, I see changes made to my clinic and schedule when I point out areas of growth. I ' m very impressed with their ability to adapt, even for one single employee.”
- Timothy Grunert, MD, MPH, Family Medicine
" The exposure to Emergency Medicine physicians we are given is truly remarkable, as we have the opportunity to work with a world-class physician group at Renown. Working with these physicians has really highlighted many characteristics of the type of emergency physician I am striving to become.”
