A Message From Leadership
Renown Colleagues,
September has been an exciting month for Renown. On Sept. 10, Renown publicly announced our plans to build a standalone children’ s hospital, made possible by the landmark $ 40 million gift from Tom Golisano. As such, Renown joins the Golisano Children’ s Alliance, a national network of 21 children’ s hospitals committed to improving pediatric healthcare, advancing innovation, and ensuring children and families have access to high-quality, compassionate care close to home.
Then on Sept. 22, Renown held its groundbreaking ceremony for its new integrated ambulatory care center in Sparks, offering urgent care, primary care, pediatrics, advanced lab and imaging services, and a convenient pharmacy.
These announcements herald our growing commitment to providing world-class care close to home. To this end, I also want to thank our Medical Staff for leading off our high-reliability training. As of Sept. 18, more than 1,100 medical staff members had completed the training, with an additional couple hundred scheduled by the end of September. This is a major milestone on our journey toward zeropreventable harm, led by our physicians and advanced practice providers.
Thank you! Be well, Bill
