Enhance Patient Care with Epic Cosmos Look-Alikes
Cosmos is an online database built in collaboration with health systems nationwide who use Epic, including Renown Health, to enhance care and drive new medical insights. The Cosmos“ Look- Alikes " function gives providers the opportunity to see how other providers have treated a patient that may have exhibited the same symptoms as their own patient. This tool also offers ways to give providers customized information to help with each patient’ s care journey.
Epic reports that 1,633 hospitals, more than 37,000 clinics and 400,000 physicians are leveraging the Cosmos database to help improve the health and lives of a diverse population of patients across the country.
New Outpatient Therapy Providers Now Accepting Referrals at South Meadows
The Outpatient Therapy team at Renown is expanding and now accepting referrals at a new location at Renown South Meadows.
• Jennifer Cross – an experienced occupational therapist specializing in pelvic floor therapy and cancer rehabilitation. Jennifer is trained through the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute and the PORi Institute, and treats both men and women with a wide range of pelvic floor dysfunctions. These include post-surgical complications( e. g., post-gastric bypass or small bowel repair), pelvic organ prolapse, urinary or fecal incontinence and pelvic cancers or reconstruction.
• Christin Lindberg – a dedicated speech language pathologist at Renown health, where she has been serving patients since 2011. Christin earned her degree in speech-language pathology from the University of Nevada, Reno and has since built a reputation for compassionate, evidence-based care. She specializes in neuro rehabilitation and has worked extensively across the continuum of care-including acute care, inpatient rehabilitation and outpatient therapy. Her clinical interests include neurogenic communication disorders, dysphagia( swallowing disorders), and rehabilitation for patients with head and neck cancer.
Referrals can be placed via Epic.
