Renown Earns Top Rankings in 2024-2025 U . S . News & World Report
According to its 2024-25 rankings , U . S . News & World Report has recognized Renown Regional Medical Center as a high performer in nine specialties , including the top hospital in Nevada and excellence in cancer care , cardiology and vascular surgery .
Renown ’ s consistent recognition in multiple specialties highlights its dedication to providing exceptional patient care and its position as a healthcare leader in Nevada .
• Best Hospital in Nevada : Renown Regional has been recognized as a top hospital in Nevada for 2024-25 . The criteria for the Best Hospitals rankings include risk-adjusted mortality rates , preventable complications and the level of nursing care .
• Top Cardiology Center : The Renown Institute for Heart & Vascular Health was named the top cardiology center in Nevada . U . S . News evaluated nearly 800 heart hospitals and ranked the top 50 that manage challenging heart and vascular cases , including heart transplants , cardiac device implantations , major chest procedures and treatments for complex cardiovascular conditions .
• Top Cancer Center : The William N . Pennington Cancer Institute at Renown was recognized as the top cancer center in Nevada . The Best Hospitals for Cancer rankings analyzed hospital performance in 15 specialties and specialty areas , using a data-driven approach that combines performance measures in structure , process and outcomes .
Renown Children ’ s Emergency Room Gains Three New Providers
The only children ’ s emergency room in northern Nevada just gained three new providers with the addition of Delaney Fisher , DO ; Eric Kersjes , MD ; and Nico Regas , DO to the team . These exceptional providers are joining Renown Children ’ s Hospital in August and bring a breadth of experience and knowledge to Renown ' s smallest patients and their families .
As a reminder , the Children ’ s ER at Renown Children ’ s Hospital is the region ' s only Level II Pediatric Trauma Center and is open 24 hours a day , seven days a week . With pediatric specialists , child-sized equipment and family-centered care , it ’ s the first and only facility of its kind in Reno-Tahoe .
Renown Awarded ‘ Gold Stars Level 10 ’ for Patient Electronic Medical Record System
For the first time , Renown Health has been awarded the designation of Epic Gold Stars Level 10 for exceptional utilization of the most advanced electronic medical records ( EMR ) technology available . The " Perfect 10 " Gold Stars Level 10 designation is the highest level of recognition that can be reached , placing the health system in the top 3 % of all Epic users internationally .
