DEAR RENOWN MEDICAL STAFF COLLEAGUES ,
For those whom I haven ’ t had the pleasure to meet yet , my name is Nariman Rahimzadeh . I am the new Vice President of Medical Affairs at Renown South Meadows Medical Center . As the son of immigrant parents who chose and were embraced by the northern Nevada community some 43 years ago , I have deep respect and admiration for my hometown . I have been involved in various medical positions since my return from my medical training in 2007 , having served most recently as the Chief of Staff at South Meadows in 2021 / 2022 and Chair of the Department of Anesthesiology . In this capacity , I have had the honor to be exposed to and learn from some of the best community physicians , advanced providers and educational and community leaders one can hope for .
As the Renown South Meadows campus grows its services and footprint within the community , it is of utmost importance that we don ’ t forget our past while planning for our future and stay in line with the health system ’ s mission “ to make a genuine difference in the health and well-being of the people and communities we serve .” With that said , the mission cannot be accomplished without the participation and delivery of care by the medical team – one that has already been recognized locally and statewide as one of the best . As such , we will continue to remain focused on the delivery of valuable , quality , safe and efficient patient care while planning for the expansion . We will take on the challenges we will undoubtedly face together while listening to and learning from each other ’ s concerns and advice . In short , we will not turn down the opportunity to be better .
Working alongside the medical team is a privilege I do not take for granted . I am humbled and excited for this new opportunity as we turn the page onto the next chapter of health care delivery to a community for which we all care so deeply .
