RAF PTI- Parachute Jumping Instructor( PJI)
Parachute Jumping Instructors( PJIs) deliver specialist airborne training that prepares personnel for parachute operations. This role demands professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to lead confidently in high-pressure environments.
Training to become a PJI takes place at the Airborne Delivery Wing at RAF Brize Norton, where you develop the technical knowledge, instructional skills, and fitness required to deliver parachute training safely. Once qualified, you will be posted to the RAF Parachute Training School at RAF Brize Norton.
As a PJI, you will instruct static-line and freefall parachuting, covering aircraft drills, parachute control, landing techniques, and emergency procedures. You will supervise live jumps and ensure the highest safety standards are always maintained.
