There has always been argument between photographers and regular people who just take pictures for fun. The disagreement lies on the line of the difference between Professionals and amateurs and how we tell the difference between the two. Nowadays people with fancy phones like to call themselves photographers due to a couple simple, lucky shots and quite frankly, it drives professionals nuts. We look at pictures posted on social media by amateurs and see how absolutely awful they are and yet they receive praise and pay where they definitely should not.
The reasons as to why people confuse amateurs and professionals are confused are pretty simple. Both take pictures of most anything for most anyone and receive pay for it. We both post photos online and try to get the most recognition and praise as possible. There are truly only few similarities to amateurs and professionals but they are so large the line between the two gets hidden.
