ABOUT PHILLIPSHAUGEN Phillipshaugen consists of three buildings: The Old House built in 1899 is the jewel in the crown, the modern building that was built in 1982 and has a dining hall with panoramic views across the Øksendal mountains, and lastly there is the little exotic Madagascar cottage. The historical Old House contains a library and a beautiful sitting room with real character and soul. We have tried to maintain the lovely original features and atmosphere of Phillipshaugen, and we aim to offer guests a great mix of British class in traditional Norwegian settings and history, in line with Lort Phillips’ interiors and intentions. There are several fireplaces and deep Chesterfield furniture to sink into and relax in, and guests can enjoy a refreshing drink after a day skiing or walking. Phillipshaugen Lodge
