With his personal and pro-
nancy body, but actress and
mom Isabelle Daza proved herself
wrong when she lost an impres-
sive 68 pounds of weight a few
months following the birth of her
baby boy, Balthazar.
The “Play House” star, last
Thursday, took to her YouTube
channel to upload a new video
chronicling her fitness journey
post-partum – something that re-
quired a lot of sacrifices and dis-
cipline from herself.
“After pregnancy, I’m happy
to say that I am actually even lo-
wer than my pre-pregnancy weig-
ht. But it took a lot of sacrifices
and that was very difficult. There’s
no secret,” she said. “I’m sharing
my journey because hopefully, I’ll
be able to inspire someone and
other moms out there who want
to do it but don’t know where to
start.”
Isabelle started her fitness
training in February last year while
she was 36 weeks pregnant with
her son. She was 194 lbs. then
and was simultaneously suffering
from gestational diabetes.
After her giving birth via Cae-
sarian Section in April, she started
getting back on track within only
three weeks post-partum, contra-
ry to her doctor’s recommenda-
tion of eight weeks. She was then
diagnosed with mastitis, which is
a medical condition for an “infec-
tion of the tissue of the breast that
occurs more frequently during the
time of breastfeeding.”
“[Today], I weighed my-
self. I’m 176 pounds from 204
pounds,” she said. “Every day I
weigh myself and I kinda feel bad.
People are gonna watch this and
think that I’m obsessed with weig-
ht, which I slightly am.”
With the help of her personal
trainer Arnold Aninion, Isabelle
started getting serious with her
weight training the following mon-
th. Her daily workout routine con-
sisted of light cardio in an inclined
treadmill for 30-45 minutes befo-
fessional life going great, Luis
Manzano has every reason to feel
happy.
He is very busy hosting se-
veral shows, including “ASAP Na-
tin ‘To,” “Minute to Win It” and
“World of Dance Philippines.”
Three-week-old “World of
Dance Philippines,” according to
Kantar Media, is the most-wat-
ched program, rating 32.3 per-
cent.
Miss Universe Pia Qurtzbach
joins Luis as co-host. Its board
of jurors is composed of Billy
Crawford, Maja Salvador and
Gary Valenciano.
“World of Dance Philippines”
airs every Saturday and Sunday,
7:30 p.m. on ABS-CBN.
Meanwhile, “Minute To Win
It” has Luis interacting with Negi.
It airs Monday to Friday before
“TV Patrol.”
Personally, Luis cannot ask
for more. Though his parents,
Edu Manzano and Lisa Rep. Vil-
ma Santos-Recto. are estranged,
he can run to them anytime
Luis is also close to his ste-
pfather, Senator Ralph Recto, and
his half-brother, Ryan Christian.
Luis seems have found his
perfect match in Jessy Mendio-
la, 26, who admits to be ready to
marry him anytime.
His parents, according to
Luis, approve of his girlfriend.
He is ready to marry Jessy
as soon as she gives him her go-
signal. Luis is turning 38 on April
21st.●

work out without sticking to a
healthy diet, as per Arnold’s gui-
dance.

Enrique Gil and Liza Sobera-
no are making a comeback on the
silver screen via “Alone/Together.”
Liza plays Christine, an ambitious
and smart arts student from the
University of the Philippines. Enri-
que is Raf, a Biology student from
the University of Sto. Tomas who
is Christine’s opposite.
During the media gathering
of the film, Enrique shared his in-
sight as to why the movie is called
“Alone/Together.”
“Well, a lot of times in the
movie kasi, even though we are
together, we feel so alone. The-
re are a lot of times in the movie,
and I’m sure a lot of people feel
it, that even though you are with
somebody, deep inside you really
feel alone,” he stated.
Coming from a successful
Valentine offering, which was “My
Ex and Whys” in 2017, Liza is na-
turally feeling some pressure.
“Each and every time naman
po na gumagawa ako ng pelikula,
nape-pressure ako kasi alam ko
naman people have to pay to wat-
ch the movie and of course, gusto
ko nasusulit nila ‘yung bayad nila
kapag nanood sila. Lahat naman
kami kapag ginagawa ang isang
pelikula, we do our best pero si-
yempre lahat ng tao may iba’t
ibang opinyon at hindi naman
maiiwasang isipin ‘yung opinyon
nila, so ‘yun I do feel the pressu-
re,” she said.
Since they will be playing ma-
ture roles, they were asked if they
will finally have a kissing scene in
a movie.
Enrique said, “Well magugulat
ang fans sa movie na ‘to for sure,
100 percent.”●

“It’s all about the work you’re
willing to put in. Focusing on a
goal and not stopping until you
reach it.”●
Janine’s
new
projects
Janine Gutierrez is very happy
that although her mom, Lotlot de
Leon, and dad, Ramon Christo-
pher, are separated, they have re-
mained friends.
“Dad met my mom’s new
husband (Fadi El Soury),” she
says. “We all had dinner together
at ang saya naming lahat.”
She and her three siblings are
happy to see their mom now well
settled. Does her dad have any si-
milar plans?
“As of now, he said he has no
plans to marry again. But then,
we can’t say what happens in the
future, ‘di ba?”
Her new movie, “Elise,” is
opening in theaters, and she ad-
mits feeling nervous about it.
“Siempre, kabado ako kasi first
time ko to play a title role and I’m
praying hard na panoorin sana ng
tao. I guarantee naman na masi-
siyahan ang viewers dito kasi ma-
galing ang director namin, si Joel
Ferrer, who has fresh ideas on how
to develop a love story. Kakaiba
talaga siya kasi it’s based on our
director’s true story. It’s not your
typical love story, lalo na ang en-
ding. Siempre, hindi ko puedeng
i-reveal.”
Janine has a new movie and
she also has a new TV series on
GMA-7, “Dragon Lady.” “This one
is also unique because I transform
into a dragon dahil isinumpa ako.
Kasama ko rito sina Tom Rodri-
guez.”●
