Vancouver, BC - 2018 was an
extremely busy year for the Better
Business Bureau (BBB) serving
Mainland British Columbia (BC).
The last 12 months held nearly
2 million BBB Business Profile
inquiries, 1.89 million instances
of service to the people of BC,
5,000 closed complaints, 6,200
review submissions and a growing
Accredited Business roster, now
over 4,400 strong.

‘Traslacion’ 2019 generally peaceful – NCRPO
This year’s Traslacion ended after 21 hours, earlier
compared to previous years.
The image of the Black Nazarene entered Quiapo
church at around 2:21 a.m. on Thursday.
Last year, the procession lasted 22 hours and 19
minutes.
The Philippine National Police said an estimate of 4
million devotees joined the Traslacion activites.
Meanwhile, the National Capital Region Police Office
(NCRPO) said the feast of the Black Nazarene ended
generally peaceful.
NCRPO Chief Police Director Guillermo Eleazar said there
were no major untoward incidents during the procession of
the image of the Black Nazarene.
The Traslacion recalls the transfer of the Black Nazarene
image from the Recollect Church in Intramuros, Manila to
the Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene in 1787.
The image of the Black Nazarene is a life-size, dark-colored,
wooden sculpture of Jesus Christ which was brought to Ma-
nila by Augustinian priests in 1607. The image reportedly
got its dark color in a fire that hit the Spanish galleon that
