inspired the 2,700 Catholic
faithful who filled the Queen Elizabeth
Theatre last March 19. The venue
was full to capacity a week before the
event, partly because of a generous
donor which allowed the Archdiocese
of Vancouver to sell the tickets in the
last week at $10 each.
The event was opened by the
presentation of a shortened version of
the musical Right Here, Write Now!
The Musical or RHWN. The musical
has raised around $250,000 for
different parishes in the archdiocese
and various charity organizations
such as ANCOP and The White
Fathers of Africa. The theatre group,
composed mainly of volunteers from
different parishes and the Couples
for Christ (CFC) community, also
led the audience in worship songs
during the event, together with the
young couple-members of CFC
leading the band. RHWN will have
another full show for the benefit of St
Edmund’s Parish in North Vancouver
on October 27, 2018.
Deacon Greg Barcelon, head
of the Filipino Ministry, and his wife,
Evelyn, organized the event with the
direction of Archbishop Michael Miller.
The event became a major event of
the Archdiocese of Vancouver, and
involved many of its staff, especially
the members of the Filipino Catholic
Ministry. Pavel Reid, Senior Director
of Ministries and Outreach emceed
the event, while production was led
by Jimmy and Liza Arzadon of the
Filipino Ministry and Couples for
Christ.
Earlier in the day, Cardinal Tagle
con-celebrated Mass with Archbishop
Miller and Filipino deacons and priests
in the Archdiocese, as well as other
priests at the Holy Rosary Cathedral,
where many of the faithful came.
The Church was full to capacity, so
many people were asked to stay on
the side of the Church grounds and
a video of the Mass was shown at
real time. A reception followed at the
