for nineteen years and married

Carla Abellana plays Crystal,

“Pamilya Roces,” and she says
she can relate with the story as her

“Tapos, may second and third
family rin siya,” she says. “The
difference is that I get along fine
with my six half-siblings in real life,
unlike sa ‘Pamilya Roces’ na hindi
kami magkasundo, at yung isa,
si Sophie Albert, inaagaw pa ang
asawa kong si Rocco Nacino. My
mom is Gloria Diaz and Sophie’s
mom is Elizabeth Oropesa at
magkaaway rin ang mga moms
namin.”
She’s very pleased with
her role as it’s the first time she
gets to play a bida-kontrabida
role. “Suplada ako rito, maldita.

iinsulto ng tauhan niya. And
I’m enjoying it, masaya palang
magbida-kontrabida kaysa yung
laging api-apihan ka.”
About her personal life, she
wishes that writers would stop
asking her as to when her wedding
to Tom Rodriguez would be.
“’Di ba dapat, siya ang
tanungin? Wala pa naman siyang
proposal, so hintayin na lang
nating mag-propose siya. But
we’re not in a hurry to settle down.
We want to be really financial
secure and stable before anything
else.”● Bing Loyzaga is undoubtedly
one of our most effective villains
on TV today. Her portrayal of the
scheming Miranda in GMA’s hit
morning soap, “Kapag Nahati
ang Puso,” is so effective that
viewers absolutely hate her. On
social media, we read comments
from viewers who say they want
to slap her in person for being so
mean to Bea Binene as the timid
Claire.
“Grabe naman kasi kung
lamutakin niya ang mukha ni
Bea,” says one obvious Bea
admirer. “Halos pigain na ni Bing
ang mukha ni Bea habang nilalait
ito from head to foot sa kanilang
confrontation scenes.”
Some quarters say they
actually believe that Bing is really
one mean bitch in real life. “Wala

defends herself. “Sweet yata ako

playing my role, doing what our
director Gil Tejada is asking me to

concentrated on the construction
of our house. Of course, building
a house is not that easy. It would
require your time and effort. I

team false hopes that I’d come
back. What I did was just to extend
my vacation.”
Apart from focusing on his
marriage, he’s also giving more
time to his music now.
“Everyone knows that music is a huge part of my life. During
the time off, I was able to finish
my album which took nine years
to complete. It’s something which
cannot be rushed. It’s perfect
timing since I got the inspiration
from Coleen. It’s all part of the
plan.”
So what’s his plan now? Will
he still go back to It’s Showtime?
“For sure, but I just don’t
know exactly when,” he ends.●
