Fil-Am wrestler, mixed martial
arts fighter and actor Dave Bautista,
who is best known for his stint as a
six-time world champion in WWE
and Drax in Marvel’s Guardians of
the Galaxy and Avengers: Infinity
War, shared a proud moment with
Journey frontman Arnel Pineda.
Batista, who has a Filipino
blood through his father, was all
compliments for Arnel after sharing
a photo of his meeting with the 50-
year-old singer after Journey’s show
in Atlanta, USA.
“So for my monumental 200th
post, I’m proud to be hanging with
this amazing human being. Proud to
call him a friend. He’s an inspiration
and I feel blessed to know him. @

Likewise, Arnel, who asked for

James thrilled over birth
of 4th child Francesca Michelle
As scheduled, James Yap’s
current girlfriend yesterday delivered
a girl (as announced in a scoop in The
STAR) to be named Francesca (after
the baby’s maternal grandmother)
and Michelle (after the baby’s
mother).
“I’m excited,” was all that James
said on Tuesday, a day before his
girlfriend’s due date.
Just like when their first child,
Michael James (nicknamed MJ,
turning two years old in August), was
born, the couple is not giving any
details such as weight and length of
the baby or in what hospital she was
delivered. Initially, after a few months
they agreed to release only photos of
MJ without showing his face. It was
before the boy’s first birthday that the
couple posted his photos (showing
face and full body) on social media.
Francesca Michelle is James’
fourth child, coming after one with
his non-showbiz girlfriend (mother
and child have never been publicized;
child’s gender is not known), Bimby
with his ex-wife and MJ who is his
dad’s carbon copy.
“Everything is ready,” James
told The STAR, unable to hide his
excitement. “Her room is fixed, done
in pink, pati mga gamit niya naka-
handa na,” adding, “I can’t wait to be
a father to a girl.” ●

undergoes kidney transplant
After a year of going back and
forth to the hospital for dialysis, actor-
director Badji Mortiz successfully
underwent kidney transplant last
Sunday, July 1.
The “Banana Sundae” star
shared the good news yesterday,
July 2, on his Instagram Stories (@
badjismo).
Badji is currently recovering at
a hospital in Bonifacio Global City,
Taguig.
