Kris Aquino is currently in
Los Angeles, California to sign an
international movie deal.
The actress revealed the Hol-
lywood project in a lengthy social
media post on Easter Sunday, re-
counting what she went through
the past year, including the rejec-
tions she experienced because,
as she said, “hiring an Aquino for
TV was a political risk not worth
taking.”
But it was not all sad news.
On Instagram, Aquino related her
journey to serve as inspiration,
she said. “[T]oday Easter Sunday
– I wanted you to know my story...
I pray it gives you encouragement
& hope.”
She also narrated how she
prepared for an audition shoot
that eventually landed her a role
in a Hollywood movie. “I passed 5
levels of intense scrutiny and was
offered a role,” she announced on
Instagram.
Aquino, however, cannot re-
veal details of the production. “I
signed a non disclosure agree-
ment so until they reveal my par-
ticipation I can’t share any details
about the movie & my role,” she
said.
Here is Aquino’s post: “For a
year, I experienced rejections. A
part of my spirit broke. There were
2 shows I lost because hiring an
Aquino for TV was a political risk
not worth taking... But something

Meanwhile, Actress-TV host
Kris Aquino now has a Hollywood
agent.
In an Instagram post on Tues-
day (Manila time), Aquino shared
that she is now managed glob-
ally by East West Artists, which
is headquartered in Los Angeles,
California.
“My entertainment career will
be under the direct supervision of
one of their partners, Chris Lee,”
she wrote as she shared a photo
of her lunch meeting with Lee in
Los Angeles.
Aquino and Lee met to dis-
cuss plans about the former Ka-
pamilya talent’s still unnamed
Hollywood project.
While Aquino has remained
mum about the project because
of a non-disclosure agreement,
fans are speculating that she will
be part of the movie adaptation
of “Crazy Rich Asians,” a novel by
Kevin Kwan.
Last week, Aquino expressed
her excitement over getting a
follow-back on Instagram from
Kwan himself.●
