Gabriel “ Gab ” Valenciano and estranged wife Tricia Centenera are now in good terms , after they realized that they could not throw away a good friendship .
Valenciano made the announcement in an interview at the sidelines of a press conference for ABS-CBN ’ s upcoming talent show “ I Can Do That ,” which will premiere on March 11 .
He said , “ We are not the best of friends yet but we are going towards a good friendship . Kasi kahit paano ‘ di kami dumaan sa stage na patayan na talaga na ‘ I hate you , I never want to see you again .’
Siyempre kapag galit ka may mga nasasabi ka but at the end of the day ay may pinagsamahan kami at minahal ko din siya .” (“ We didn ’ t reach the stage that we wanted to kill each other , the ‘ I hate you , I never want to see you again .’ We say things when we ’ re mad , but at the end of the day , we shared something special and I loved her .”)
But Valenciano also said that “ friendship is all I have to give .”
“ And I believe that is more than enough kasi we were good friends before . We fell in love and sadly things ended . But at the end of the day I ’ ve seen how we are as friends and we are very good as friends ,” he said .
In the interview , he also opened up on what went wrong with their relationship , confirming the statement of his father , Gary Valenciano , that he was just “ trying to keep up with the Joneses ” when he decided to tie the knot .
“ I believe in my heart that I don ’ t think I was emotionally , mentally prepared for something like that because nasa US pa ako noon , I was alone for two and half years . So there ’ s that sense of it ’ s time na kasi everybody also was getting married , it ’ s season of marriages . I was turning 30 next year so for me , it was like lahat they are getting married na may ganoong factor . But one thing is for sure is I don ’ t regret it ,” the

Nineteen-year-old Joshua Garcia is thrilled about his newly purchased property where he plans to build a home for his family .
“ Gusto ko two-storey house ang maipatayo ,” he said . “’ Yung ibaba kasi , gusto kong gawing restaurant , since iyon ang dream ng father ko , who cooks well . Hopefully , maisakatuparan namin ito before the year ends .” (“ I want a two-storey house . On the first floor , I want a restaurant for my dad , who cooks well , because it ’ s always been his dream . Hopefully , this comes into fruition this year .”)
Joshua is currently making waves as the grandson of Sylvia Sanchez in the drama series , “ The Greatest Love .” Next , he will be seen in a movie with Julia Barretto , who was his partner in “ Vince & James & Kath ,” a top grosser in the last Metro Manila Film Festival ( MMFF ).
Meanwhile , Joshua opened up about Loisa Andalio , who was with him in “ PBB : Teens .” He admitted that he once thought they were going to be paired in movies and shows after their teamup in the series “ Nasaan Ka Nang Kailangan Kita .”
Nevertheless , he is happy for her . She is getting good breaks , just like him . “ She has two shows , the daily ‘ My Dear Heart ’ and the weekly ‘ Wansapanataym : My Fair Lady ’,” related Joshua . “ And she has a new screen partner , Mark Oblea , a contestant in “ Pinoy Boyband Superstar .”
Loisa ’ s busier on TV than Joshua , because she sings and dances with the young group , BFFs , in ABS-CBN ’ s Sunday variety show , “ ASAP .” ●

John Lloyd Cruz and Angelica Panganiban are rumored to have quietly reconciled , but some wags insist that they ’ re just keeping it a secret .
“ They don ’ t want to admit it ,” someone insisted .
We saw them standing next to each other during the Star Magic Anniversary affair and Lloydie hinted that questions should just focus on Star Magic as they won ’ t entertain personal ones . Honestly , though , judging from their actions , we think that they ’ re now really just friends , lovers no more . There ’ s no iota of sweetness you can detect that can be noticeable in those who are in a romantic relationship .
They were later spotted together at an art fair in Makati . Again , they were just friendlier to one another and it looks like they ’ ve really moved on after their breakup as there ’ s no awkwardness between them at all .
Angelica was also quoted as saying that despite their separation , they have maintained their friendship . “ Proud kami na kahit mahirap at may struggle noong umpisa , we were able to maintain our friendship ,” she said . “ Kung nagmahalan kayo dati , bakit naman kailangang mauwi sa away ? Ang mahalaga masaya ako ngayon at masaya rin siya .” (“ We ’ re proud that though it was a struggle at the beginning , we were able to maintain our friendship . We were once in love , why should we end up as enemies ? What is important is I ’ m happy right now and so is he .”)
By next month , they would have been separated from each other for a year now , since they broke up in March last year . Maybe we should just be happy that they didn ’ t end up being bitter with each other . Besides , their careers have not been adversely affected by their breakup .

Piolo and Shaina
After confirming that he and Shaina Magdayao are exclusively dating , Piolo Pascual shared that his mother , Amelia Nonato Pascual , approves of the actress for him .
“ Yes ! Boto rin ako sa kanya ,” Pascual told reporters at the press conference for “ Northern Lights .”
The actor also gave his reaction to the statement of Magdayao , who has asked for calm after he revealed that they have been “ exclusively dating ” for five years now .
“ Shaina and I really talked about it . What ’ s important , I said , is what you say is true and sincere . So whatever we have , whatever we talked about ay okay na ‘ yun ,” Pascual said .
“ There is some bashing , a lot of comments . What ’ s good about all of this is that ... what is important is we know what is true and we are okay ,” the actor added . ●
