Vancouver by-election
for councilor

Non-Partisan Association has pre-
vailed over his opponents in the
October 14 by-election for a seat
in Vancouver city council.
Out of the 48,645 total votes

Bremner was one of nine can-

Meggs had been hired as
chief of staff to B.C. NDP Premier
John Horgan, and resigned his
post.
During the campaign, Brem-
ner pledged to work to fix the
housing issue in Vancouver.

ballots in the October 14 by-elec-

tees were Janet Fraser, Judy Za-
ichkowsky, Estrellita Gonzalez,
Joy Alexander, Allan Wong, Lisa
Dominato, Fraser Ballantye, Car-
