Brian Poe Llamanzares unveils watch
Brian Poe Llamanzares , the son of Senator Grace Poe and grandson of showbiz icons Susan Roces and the late Fernando Poe Jr ., is proud of the ABS- CBN primetime series FPJ ’ s Ang Probinsyano , topbilled by Coco Martin . It has been lording the ratings for almost two years
The 25-year-old Llamanzares is a friend of the show ’ s villain Arjo Atayde . “ Actually kausap ko si Arjo at lagi ko sinasabi sa kanya na I ’ m so proud dahil hindi lang para sa success ng program but it was also the success for the memory of my Lolo FPJ ,” said Brian .
He believes Coco is doing a great job playing the character his lolo originated . “ Maraming salamat , Coco , kasi dahil sa husay mo bilang artista hindi nawawala ‘ yung prestige ng pangalan ng lolo ko na si Fernando Poe , Jr .,” he said
Meanwhile , the Ateneo de Manila graduate recently unveiled Time Master , his own watch brand . Llamanzares revealed he has been a watch collector since he was young and has always felt passionate about timepieces . The young businessman said a portion of the sale will go to charity .
“ Every time you buy a watch , part of [ the proceeds from the sale ] will go to MoveEd Foundation dedicated for children who can ’ t afford to finish their education ,” he revealed .
Friends and family flocked at the Time Master launch in Prive Luxury Club at the Fort . Brian ’ s parents , Senator Grace Poe and husband Neil Llamanzares , his grandmother , Susan Roces , and his aunt , Lovi Poe , were in attendance .
“ Syempre all-out support ang nanay and tatay ko , and my mom told me na any success I gain from my business dapat ibabalik ko din ‘ yun sa kababayan ko ,” he said . ●
Megan Young ’ s acting improves
Megan Young got very positive reviews for her effective portrayal of Alice , the young stepmother of Zoren Legaspi ’ s three kids from his late wife .
Megan ’ s Alice is always at odds with her stepchildren and their yaya in Regal Entertainment ’ s hit Our Mighty Yaya . Mother Lily Monteverde gave a thanksgiving press con at Valencia Events Place last week , the only producer who does this now .
The film is now extended in several theaters .
“ Well , I ’ m glad maraming nakagusto sa performance ko kasi most of the time , hindi ako ‘ yung character na ginagampanan ko sa movie ,” she says .
If Megan ’ s acting has improved , some folks cannot say the same for her boyfriend who just renewed his contract with the Kapuso network . As one writer told us : “ Sabihin mo nga kay Megan , turuan niya si Mikael Daez na umarte , o pakunin ng workshop . Kasi ang ganda ng role niya sa ‘ Legally Blind ,’ but parang pamasko ang acting niya , Christmas ham . Ang gagaling nina Janine Gutierrez , Marc Abaya , Lauren Young na puro natural lang at relaxed , pero pagdating sa kanya , uma-acting talaga siya .”
Of course , we didn ’ t have the heart to tell that to Megan . Instead , we said their photos in their social media account seem to indicate they ’ re ready for the next step : settling down . “ Naku , hindi pa . As of now , we ’ re just enjoying
ourselves . Chill lang . Pareho kaming marami pang plans sa buhay , sa aming careers .”
Megan will leave for the US in July to try her luck in Hollywood where she already has an agent . “ Pero nakasalalay pa rin ‘ yan sa work ko sa GMA- 7 . If they ’ d give me a new project , then priority ko pa rin sila . ● ”
Enrique Gil on Liza Soberano ’ s late dad
Liza Soberano had a lot of realizations when she accompanied Enrique Gil on his visit to the columbarium where his late father ’ s remains are stored .
The actor ’ s dad passed away in 2008 due to cancer .
Soberano confessed she was moved when Enrique started talking to his dad .
On her Instagram post last May 19 , she wrote , “ Witnessed something so beautiful the other day . Words can ’ t even explain how much love I felt taking this picture .”
The moment reminded her of how precious life is . “ Medyo naging sad ako kasi kinausap niya ang papa niya na as if his papa was just there . Parang na-realize ko kung gaano kabilis ang buhay and how we should appreciate things in life . Siyempre ako I have a dad and I fight with him a lot , siyempre normal lang naman ‘ yun pero you know ngayon nare-realize ko swerte pala ako kasi may papa ako and si Quen wala na siyang papa ,” she said .
At the Star Magic 25th anniversary celebration on “ ASAP ,” Liza recounted how Quen invited her to visit his dad . He missed the chance to join his mom and sibling to visit their dad because he was not feeling well on the day of their visit , she said , so the next day , he asked her if she could accompany him to the columbarium .
“ Nag-text si Quen , ‘ Pwede mo ba akong samahan pumunta sa papa ko ?’ kasi sabi niya ‘ I feel bad I wasn ’ t able to go .’ So sinamahan ko po siya ,” she explained . ●
Maxene Magalona and Robby Mananquil wedding plans
Maxene Magalona said the details to her wedding to model Robby Mananquil have yet to be finalized but as soon as they are , she will tell her fans .
“ I ’ m a very traditional kind of girl na I love girly classic pieces so I guess it will be something along that line . Pero wala pa akong naiiisip na final na design na style . With my career , nothing is going to change . It ’ s still going to be the same . He will always be the supportive partner that I ’ ve always had and I ’ m just so lucky to be with him ,” she revealed .
She shared she and her fiance have already discussed how many kids they want to have . “ Because Rob is a twin he wants to have twins ( laughs ). So if you guys think wedding preparations is hard , how much more when you have kids ‘ di ba ? He wants twins and I ’ m like , okay , sige . It ’ s easy for the husband to say , but I can see how hands on he is with the wedding so I ’ m hoping and I ’ m sure he will also be a hands-on father ,” Maxene divulged , “ So I ’ m excited for that . I think maybe [ we ’ ll have ] two to three kids .”
Robby and Maxene got engaged last Valentine ’ s Day . ●
