Vina Morales
in Europe…
and so in love
It looks like singer-actress
Vina Morales is enjoying her stay
in Europe while juggling her work
commitments, wanderlust fix, and
love life.
Social
networking
site
Instagram became Morales’ travel
journal as she posted photos of
unforgettable moments in the
continent’s most visited places—
London and Paris.
Morales flew to London to
shoot scenes for Born For You,
a television drama series starring
Elmo Magalona and Janella
Salvador. She plays Salvador’s
mother, Cathy Kazuko, in the
show.
She also attended the first
day of 2016 Barrio Fiesta in
London, the biggest Filipino
celebration in the city, on July 16
at Apps Court Farm. The annual
gathering of Pinoys in London
featured Kapamilya stars such as
Salvador, Kevin Sebastian, Robin
Padilla, and Jodi Sta. Maria.
While in London, Morales
visited the Big Ben, St. Paul’s
Cathedral, and the Hampton
Court Place.
The singer-actress then went
to Paris to spend some time with
French beau, Marc Lambert, also
visiting Switzerland and Italy as
well.
The couple visited some of
Paris’ most popular tourist spots
such as the Notre Dame Church
and Little Venice, where her
boyfriend used to live.
Tom Rodriguez
plays an
Alzheimer’s
patient
After his trip to Europe
with Carla
Abellana and
her
family, Tom Rodriguez is now
recharged and all set to play TJ
Chavez in the new primetime
series Someone To Watch Over
Me. The series is about a man
stricken with the disease and
forgets to remember his wife but
strangely recalls his liaison with
another woman.
For Tom, the role is far
different from those he has
essayed previously. And because
it is not familiar to him, he has
started his own research about
Alzheimer’s Disease.
“Right now, I am just trying
to educate myself with this illness
[Alzheimer’s] because it’s a very
real thing pala. You know, just a
few months before this, I had no
idea.
Like,ganito pala kabilis, ka-
rapid yung disease na you
will
be able to see the deterioration
right away. For me, I even started
doing mind exercises kasi I’m an
over thinker and my hobby is to
stimulate my brain. Kasi I love
reading, I love studying, I love
taking courses, I love doing many
techniques. Kaya to prepare for a
role that’s as heavy as this, it must
be a superb one,” the actor says.
Someone to Watch Over
Me GMA Network starring Tom
Rodriguez and Lovi Poe starts on
August 2016.
Dingdong
Avanzado
pays homage
to English
OPM
Who says OPM has to be a
strictly Tagalog affair?
Some of the most enduring,
well-loved OPM classics were
penned in English, and could
very well stand up to the equally
immortal standards penned by
foreign composers.
Prince of Pinoy Pop Dingdong
Avanzado revisited some of these
memorable pop ditties in his
forthcoming concert dubbed e-
OPM at the Zirkoh Bar on T.
Morato in Quezon City on July 19.
Sharing the spotlight is his back-
up band, The Doorbells.
Politics takes a backseat
for Avanzado. He was the Vice
Governor of Siquijor but opted
not to seek re-election last May.
He now focuses his time and
attention to music, and eagerly
anticipates the release of his latest
single and music video.
Just recently, Dingdong,
together with his beautiful
wife actress-singer
Jessa
Zaragoza (born Richelle Anne
Loyola on January 31, 1979) and
their
daughter Jayda, returned
from Hawaii where they mounted
the first overseas leg of Jessa’s I
Am Me concert series.
The couple, now based in
Vallejo, California since 2001, is
expected to kick off their world
concert tour soon.
