The country ’ s two largest television networks claimed a lead in ratings for the month of November , citing their respective third-party research companies .
GMA Network Inc ., citing data from Nielsen TV Audience Measurement , posted a 39.3 percent total day household audience share as against ABS-
The Philippines ’ ABS- CBN Corporation bagged a total of 23 recognitions at the recently held 37th Catholic Mass Media Awards ( CMMA ) for its socially relevant and values-laden programs and special projects .
ABS-CBN went home with 11 recognitions from the television categories that include Best News The World Tonight , Best Children and Youth Program for Nathaniel , Best Public Service Program for Mission Possible , Best TV Ad – Public Service category for ABS-CBN Creative Communications Management ’ s “ Thank You sa Malasakit , Pope Francis ” campaign tied with ABS- CBN Cebu ’ s “ Panguma ”

ABS-CBN , GMA both claim lead in November ratings war

CBN ’ s 33.6 percent and TV5 ’ s 8.2 percent .
Citing Kantar Media , ABS-CBN on the other hand , said it was the most watched TV network in the country last November after getting an average audience share of 42 percent from combined urban and rural homes against GMA ’ s 38 percent .
GMA Network said it maintained its performance in the daytime block with its audience share of 36.3 percent against ABS- CBN ’ s 30.2 percent and TV5 ’ s 10.7 percent . In the afternoon block , GMA was also ahead with its share of 46.4 percent versus ABS-CBN ’ s 28.2 percent and TV5 ’ s 7.1 percent .
“ GMA also kept its stronghold in viewer-rich Urban Luzon and Mega Manila , which represent 77 percent and 59 percent , respectively , of all urban TV households in the country ,” the company said .
In Urban Luzon , GMA recorded 44.1 percent compared to ABS-CBN ’ s 29 percent and TV5 ’ s 7.3 percent . In Mega Manila ,

Vic Sotto plays the role of Vito who finds himself at odds and in a bitter professional rivalry with Cora , played by Ai-Ai . The conflict happens when their respective wards – Anna ( played by Maine ) daughter of Vito , gets romantically entangled with Cora ’ s beloved nephew Dondi ( played by Alden ). As expected , the “ parents ” actively reject the budding romantic involvement between the star-crossed lovers and willingly struck an unexpected truce to prevent this romance from happening .
