RED empowering Retail Employees
PRA had been celebrating the RED Day every 12th December since 2018 . Originally from the Retail Association of India ( RAI ), the PRA adopted the campaign that seeks to encourage retail employers , as well as customers , to recognize the efforts of retail employees across the country and all over the world .
In 2020 , PRA encouraged retailers to celebrate RED in an extra special way that is by thanking and honoring Filipino retail employees for their brave and steadfast dedication to their work and service amid the pandemic .
The RED celebration motivated and inspired retail workers to rise up and keep going amidst the pandemic challenges . The simple actions of gratitude and recognition of their efforts have priceless impact to employees . It goes to show that small acts of kindness and gratitude empower people and inspire them to be more and do more .
Continued service to the retail industry
Despite the pandemic challenges over the past year , the PRA have been able to consistently deliver relevant programs and activities that service retailers ’ needs and enable its members to upgrade and update their skills to become globally competitive .
In 2020 PRA launched the Executive Session that is a series of 2-hr online sessions for C-Level audience that covers topics on the latest developments , insights , and new research on business impact in retail .
Award-winning global management consulting companies and influential research and advisory firms in the world were invited to share global research reports , strategic insights , and growth strategies that will be invaluable for businesses as they move to the “ next normal ” of retailing .
Held via Zoom , the sessions and live discussions attracted business owners , C-level retailers , and senior executives and managers who are part of PRA ’ s membership . The sessions were promoted via PRA ’ s digital channels such as email , website , and social media ( Facebook , LinkedIn , Viber ).
Embracing digital transformation
As part of the PRA ’ s digital transformation , PRA also launched its first podcast program Let ’ s Talk Retail in 2020 during the height of the pandemic ’ s lockdown restrictions . Let ’ s Talk Retail is a 45-minute to 1-hr podcast featuring the key movers and shakers in the retail industry .
The podcast aims to inspire and motivate retailers and partner industries by providing relevant , up-to-date and insightful information on the developments in the retail arena around the world . The podcast features the industry ’ s retail luminaries and their inspiring success stories .
Let ’ s Talk Retail ’ podcast did not only strengthen PRA ’ s digital presence , but also became PRA ’ s avenue to deliver world-class and inspiring content and at the same time gain a wider audience reach .
