PRA Members commence vaccination rollout with their retail employees

Members of the Philippine Retailers Association ( PRA ) that purchased anti-COVID19 vaccines for their employees have started with their vaccination rollout , inoculating all their retail employees and staff .
Together with the support of GoNegosyo and the A Dose Of Hope project , the vaccination for retail employees was held in the shared vaccination sites that are located in malls , shopping centers , and malls & hospital-based healthcare service providers , such as the SM Mall of Asia , Robinsons Galleria , Robinsons Magnolia , SM Aura , Ayala Mall by the Bay , Greenhills Shopping Center , Medical City , and Marriot Grand Ballroom .

PRA at the forefront of advocacies for the retail industry

As the “ Pulse and Voice of the retail industry ”, the PRA supported different advocacy campaigns and participated in different government hearings that are of best interest to the industry in the past months . consultations such as the proposed senate bill on Digital Payments , which promotes the adoption of digital payments for financial transactions of the government and all merchants and for other purposes . As of date , the senate is still consolidating all positions and statements from all stakeholders .
On the COVID-19 initiatives , the PRA is working together with the Go Negosyo for the vaccination drive campaign – A Dose of Hope Project – since last year , and the recent campaign on Bakuna Bubble , which proposes more mobility for vaccinated people while protecting the unvaccinated . Through this initiative , we will be able to at least open our economy slowly and allow vaccinated people to resume to their livelihoods and business operations . Last March 2021 , PRA joined the virtual signing ceremony of MOU between brand owners and online platforms together with DTI and the IPOPHL . The MOU is to establish a code of practice in the fight against the sale of counterfeit and pirated goods over the internet and to enhance the collaboration between the signatories including and in addition to Notice and take down procedures . In May 17 2021 , PRA joined the KME and other associations in a motorcade to show Filipino Retailers ’ voice and solidarity towards the safeguarding of the MSME retailers and the entire local industry against the proposed amendments in the Retail Trade Liberalization Act . The PRA , is constantly following this issue and continues to fight and uphold the rights and protection of our local retailers .
