Life can often seem like an animated film in the month of May … as speeds things up , and raises the emotional temperature , leading to heated and rapid decision-making among our groups . A lengthy period in which friendships and group associations can be unpredictable and unusual , but also inspiring and exciting social life as we tackled multiple event and celebrations .
Our Mother ’ s Day celebrations last May 8 has been met once again another unforeseen ‘ lockdown ’ and just 20 people were allowed inside IMS Office at Market St . Most of us gave in our places sharing to our members and guests to enjoy the day while we fit in the ‘ last counting ’ for the Masquerade Ball Quest 2021 .
Even when things are tough and pressures spread … at its very best , trusting God to lighten our moods , the pandemic circuit broke and delivered rewards of good fortune . On May 15 , 2021 – the 9th Masquerade Ball and Search for King and Queen of Hearts 2021 has been remarkably one of the biggest and the best fundraising

As if the weather has also aligned the significance of this day – the 75th Bilateral Relationships between the Philippines and Australia on 22 May 2021 , we had the pleasure to welcome our honoured guests – the Lord Mayor of Wollongong , Gordon Bradbery , AM ; the Philippine Consulate of Sydney , Consul Emmanuel Guzman ; and the Chairperson of Multicultural Communities Council of Illawarra ( MCCI ), Mr . Ken Habak , OAM . Special mention to the Member for Wollongong Mr Paul Scully who initiated the Philippine Flag Raising ceremony ( unable to share this occasion due to other commitments ) and CEO / Company Secretary of MCCI Chris Lacey ’ s generosity … indeed , the Filipino communities in the Illawarra ( APAI , CFI , ICC and IFMWG ) highly appreciated these memorable gesture of cherished friendships and may strengthen even further in the years ahead !
