Unified Celebration for Filipinos - 500 years of Christianity in the Philippines
From Lismore
LOVE Love is only a four letter word but its power is tremendous . It requires commitment and dedication . It connects us to one another . To love someone is to accept them just the way they are . Love can change the individual or to the whole extent , the whole world . As it creates a personal bond , the other person is feeling nurtured and supported .

Humans are sociable being . It means , we may need each other . No problem in loving the lovable people around us . But how about the unlovable ? Those whose ideas and views
By Luz Cabangal Osborn may not be the same as ours ? We have to remember that
God had commanded us to love one another . He set Himself as a good example for us to follow . Our Heavenly Father had sent His Only Son , The Lord Jesus Christ to die in our stead . It was a great sacrifice ! God ’ s love brought salvation to all mankind . Sadly , not all people do acknowledge Him . Not all humans can ever comprehend how deep the love of God is for us . God ’ s love is so amazing . And He commanded those who belong to Him to love one another . And we should obey . Some may deny that love to others , but it is best to always remember what God has said . Since we love God , we ought to obey Him without any complain . If it seems not easy to do , we pray that our attitudes will be pleasing to Him all the time . When we cling to God ’ s love , it helps us mature in our faith and improve in our dealings with the people around us . How could we show to the world that we belong to the Lord Jesus Christ ? It is through loving one another . The world is watching on Christians how we conduct our lives . By the Grace of God , we are able to rise above and beyond the true meaning of love . There must be no expectation from others that they would love us the way we showed love to them . Frustrations will set in if we do . And it is not encouraging at all . That is not what God expect us to do . Just give love to everyone . God ’ s love is perfect . And His love has no limit . Many times , we let God down but He remains faithful to each one of us . Lord Jesus , please help us not to judge others . Christians can show love to others by encouraging them , listening to them , showing compassion , be there when needed if we can , among other things . May we remain true in our faith as we are serving while waiting for His coming . I Corinthians 16:14 says , “ Let All That You Do Be Done With Love ”. Amen !
