In Loving Memory of Cosme Maranan Malapitan
Cosme was born on September 27, 1928 in Batangas, Philippines and immigrated
with his family to Canada in 1983. He went to be with Jesus on
July 16, 2016. His laughter, words of wisdom, love, and commitment will be
missed and forever imbedded in the hearts of those lives he touched. Survived by his
wife, Margarita Datul Malapitan, his children: Lucely (Winston), Edna (Mandy), Cynthia
(Michael), Eloisa (Marlon), Roberto (Amy), Rina (Will), and his brother Tom. Cosme’s
13 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, nephews, and nieces will also greatly miss
him.
With Appreciation/Gratitude
We, the entire Malapitan family, wish to express our sincerest gratitude for the
outpouring of love, prayers, and financial support that many of you have extended
during our time of grieving. We would also like to extend our appreciation to the
Presidents, Officers, and Members of each Filipino Senior’s Organizations which
Cosme became an active member and friends with. Cosme took pride as being
one of the founders and organizers of the New Era Society of BC and he loved all
those who were involved. To each and every one of you who gave their precious time,
genuine friendship, mentorship, words of encouragement, honour, and respect during
Cosme’s lifetime, we salute you for your love and care for our beloved Tatay, husband,
grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle.
TO GOD BE THE GLORY, GREAT THINGS HE HATH DONE!
