How Erich feels about working with Kim, Xian again
Erich Gonzales is looking forward
to giving life to her character in the
upcoming ABS-CBN series “Love Thy
Woman.”
Produced by Dreamscape, the
series will also star real-life couple
Kim Chiu and Xian Lim.
“I’ve worked with Kim in ‘Sana
Maulit Muli’ in 2007 ‘yun if I’m correct.
Si Xian naman, I’ve worked with him
in ‘Katorse’ 10 years ago so matagal
na,” she said.
“Super excited ako because
after ‘Blood Sisters,’ yung project
na susunod kong gagawin is under
Dreamscape again. Ever since,
sobrang grateful ako sa kanila kasi
binibigyan po nila tayo ng magandang
proyekto. Honored ako sa tiwala nila,”
she added.
In “Love Thy Woman,” Gonzales
plays Queenie Wong, an architect
and also the legitimate daughter of
Christopher de Leon and Eula
Valdez.
She is the half-sister of Kim
Chiu’s character, and the fiancé of
Xian Lim’s.
When asked what made her
agree to do the series, Gonzales
cited its intriguing storyline.
“Nung prinesent nila sa akin
‘yung story, na-excite ako sa
kuwento kasi family drama siya…
Exciting lang mapanood kung
paano gagawin ‘yung mga eksena
kasi I think first time mapapanood
sa TV ‘yung ganun,” she said.

‘I’m happy to be back’: Xian Lim reunites with
Kim Chiu in new series
MANILA – “I am really happy to be
back.”
This was Xian Lim’s statement
following the announcement of his
reunion series with Kim Chiu -- his
first since he left Star Magic and
transferred to Viva.
Lim said this is also their
comeback project with Dreamscape
which produced “My Binondo Girl,”
his project with Chiu that launched
their love team.
“Nakakatuwa lang na we are
back in Dreamscape. I think our last
Dreamscape project was ‘Binondo
Girl’ and then ‘Ina Kapatid Anak’ pa
which was years ago. Nakakatuwa
lang. This is something for [our
supporters] and this is something that
we’ve been waiting for,” he said.
Titled “Love Thy Woman,” Lim
said the series will tackle a modern
family setup, with a complicated love
story.
Chiu will be playing the daughter
of Sunshine Cruz and Christopher de
Leon, while the beginning of the series
will see Lim as the fiancé of Erich
Gonzales’ character, who happens to
be Chiu’s half-sister.
“Nung in-offer sa akin, I’m
very proud and happy of course sa
Chinese roots ko. Nung sinabi na
about sa Filipino-Chinese [family]
and ii-introduce siya sa mga tao, mas
malalaman pa nila kung ano ‘yung
kuwento ng traditional Filipino and
Chinese so I am very proud,” Chiu
said.
When asked if they missed working
with each other, Chiu was quick to
respond with a resounding yes.
“Oo naman! Nung nag-China kami
nung December, sabi namin parang
ang sarap gumawa ng [project] na
Chinese ‘yung story. Nung February,
in-offer sa amin ito. Hindi pa niya
sinabi sa akin na may meeting pala
siya with Dreamscape,” Chiu shared.
While no airing date has been
announced yet, Dreamscape already
revealed its powerhouse cast which
also includes Eula Valdez, Zsa Zsa
Padilla, Ruffa Gutierrez and Jennifer

U.S. federal court orders 27 pirate sites to pay
ABS-CBN $27M in damages
A US Federal District Court in
Florida ordered 27 pirate site opera-
tors to each pay $1 million for a total
of $27 million in damages to media
giant ABS-CBN which has scored sev-
eral victories in US courts this year.
The lawsuit, filed last December
2018, targets more than three dozen
domain names, including dramaofw.
ch, vidco.su, pinoyflixtv.com, pinoyt-
vlovershd.com, and tambayand.com.
These streaming portals offer access
to Filipino content in the U.S. and
abroad, attracting global visitors from
all over the world.
“Defendants’ websites are operat-
ing in blatant disregard of the rights
of ABS-CBN and willfully infring-
ing ABS-CBN’s intellectual property.
These pirates will be stopped wherev-
er they are in the world,” according to
ABS-CBN Assistant Vice President of
Global Anti-Piracy Elisha Lawrence.
ABS-CBN’s most recent win fol-
lows a pattern of similar verdicts in
recent years. With these lawsuits,
the company has managed to score
dozens of millions of dollars in dam-
ages from a wide variety of streaming
sites.
Moreover, as part of this judg-
ment, any advertising revenue earned
by these pirate websites must be
handed over to ABS-CBN.
The permanent injunction in this
judgment also requires the domain

name registrars and registries of the
pirate sites to transfer the domain
names to ABS-CBN.
Lawrence added: “It is another
great legal victory for ABS-CBN. This
substantial award by the US federal
court sends the strong message that
the content owner has the legal right
to protect its content from being given
away for free by pirates.”(abs-cbn)
