BRINGING LIFE TO YOUR SMILE

SOCIETY has just accomplished another
significant dental mission by bringing life
to the smiles of the people of Sorsogon
City, Philippines. A weeklong event of oral
surgeries, prophylactic treatments and
restorative procedures were provided to
both children and adults of the province. In
addition to dental care, Alternative Medicine
that promotes holistic healing, Hypnosis and
Acupuncture treatments were also offered by
Dr. Dan Salcedo to the local community to
resolve pain and restore the balance of their
bodies.
A mass feeding and gift giving were
also conducted by CHDS to three hundred
(300) grade school pupils of Inlagadian
Elementary School in Casiguran, Sorsogon.
Despite the unfriendly weather condition, the
schoolchildren happily participated in the
event together with their parents.
Caring Hearts Dentistry Society (CHDS)
works in cooperation with Rotary World Help
and Rotary Club of Richmond Sunrise.
The outstanding effort of our dedicated
and kind-hearted Canadian-Filipino dentists,

hygienists, nurses, professionals and
volunteers to promote oral health awareness
and dental hygiene to less-privileged
individuals and communities in the Philippines
is a yearly program of the group.
Two thousand five hundred eighteen
services (2,518) were rendered to the
populace of Sorsogon City from January 22
to 26, 2018, which consist of 1,062 restorative
procedures, 614 prophylactic treatments and
842 oral surgeries.
Caring Hearts Dentistry Society is
headed by Elena Agala as Chairman together
with Dr. Danilo Salcedo as President, Dr.
Gloria Samosa as Vice President, Dr. Marietta
Quiambao, Dr. Francisca Valdes, Francis
Valdes as Treasurer, Pacifico Alegro and
Nerissa “Ghee” Salcedo as Secretary.
Other CHDS 2018 members are Dr. Kim
Ide, Dr. Marissa Sunga, Dr. Lourdes Tañedo,
Dr. Julita Donato, Dr. Leonardo Carreon Jr.,
2Lt. Jovencio Salonoy (Ret.), Mao Ide, Nao
Ide, Kim In Ja, Ellen Antipuesto Diona, Delfin
Samosa, Annaliza Viloria-Rosales, Cherry
