PGABC Awards Night
Cusi siblings claim majority of the awards

Brothers Renato and Jess Cusi
are currently in cloud nine after
dominating the Masters Championship
and President’s Cup in two separate
occasions.
It was indeed a sterling
performance on the part of Renato to
reign supreme in the Class A category
of the Masters Championship held
last August 18 and 19 in Swan E-set
Bay Resort.
He edges his closest rival Carlos
Lukban, who eventually shares 1st
runner-up finish with Tom Raguero,
while Geevs Fragante settles for 2nd
runner up.
In the Class B event of Masters
tilt, Jess, VP of PGABC, shares 2nd
runner-up honors with Ferdie Lontok.
Shifting to President’s Cup
tournament, Ato and Jess remain
unstoppable in their campaign after
a relentless perfect swing en route
to eclipsing the title in Class A and B
events of the said tourney.
Ato, the current Membership
Director of Pilipino Golf Association
of British Columbia (PGABC) finished
the awarding rites on a high note with
the Player of the Year Award tucked
under his belt while Fred Santos and
Billy Vergara took home the 1st and
2nd runner-up respectively.
Vergara, on the other hand,
bounced back in the Directors Cup
to earn the Class A champ, while
Sumesh Putra and Dwight Escat took
the 2nd and 3rd spot.
In Class B of the above-mentioned
tournament, JayR Pareja emerged
victorious while Toti Epondulan and
Arnold Santos settle for 2nd and 3rd
place finish.
Boy Holgado ruled the Class B
of Masters Championship while Fred
Santos took the 2nd place.
Other winners were Rene de
Leon , 1st runner up trophy in the
President’s Cup behind Jess Cusi.
Jimmy Fabros and Primo Padrinao
split the 2nd runner-up place.
