The Vancouver theatre group which stages the musical Right Here , Write Now ! ( RHWN ) performed for St . Jude ’ s Parish in Vancouver on June 10 , and in Hayward , California last July 1 , 2017 . The show was staged to benefit All Saints Parish in Hayward , as well as to make known to more people the group ’ s sponsored charities Answering the Cry of the Poor ( ANCOP ) and the White Fathers of Africa . The musical was staged at the Glad Tidings Church in Vancouver , and at the Chabot College Performing Arts Theatre Stage One , where Hollywood actor Tom Hanks , is an alumnus .
Fr . Jun Reyes , parish priest of St Jude ’ s in Vancouver , has always been a fan of the musical , ever since he worked with the group for the IC Delta show .

whole cast and crew are a very dedicated group . They are truly blessed with their talent , and we are also blessed that they generously contribute it to the needs of the Church and the charities they support .” Fr . Reyes adds that more parishes and organizations should take on this project for their parish as the show is a good evangelization tool , as well as a sound fund-raising activity . He hopes to see the musical go to many more places , as the work of evangelization and for the poor , is affirmed by the group .

The ANCOP Walk is a global annual event that raises funds for SHELTER , CHILD SPONSORSHIP , and HUMANITARIAN RELIEF programs . It is faith in action ! ANCOP stands for Answering the Cry of the Poor . It is the outreach ministry of Couples for Christ . Individuals and groups participate in the walk , generously giving donations or helping solicit funds for ANCOP . Kids , youth , adults , and seniors join together to walk for the poor and rally the public to support the cause .
In Vancouver , the AN- COP Walk is on August 20 , Sunday at the Swangard Stadium in Burnaby .
In Canada , the ANCOP Walk is conducted in 18 cities / areas : Toronto , Ottawa , Windsor and Hamilton in Ontario ; Vancouver , Victoria and Whistler in British Columbia ; Montreal in Quebec ; Calgary , Edmonton , Lethbridge and Fort McMurray in Alberta ; Saskatoon and Regina in Saskatchewan ; Winnipeg in Manitoba and Yellowknife in the Northern Territories ! The new areas are Red Deer ( Alberta ) and Brandon ( Winnipeg , Manitoba ).
When the super typhoon Haiyan hit the Philippines in November 2013 ,
things that really matter such as family , friendships , and the right thing to do , despite the odds . The cast and crew are all volunteers from different parishes all over the Lower Mainland , who give their time , talent and treasure to regular Sunday rehearsals and beyond , proof enough that the spirit of giving is truly alive in people who care and who want to make a difference . And since they have been together for four years , they have created and continue to create stories and great memories together with each show that they stage .
“ The show ’ s message is heartwarming and effective , and this is the reason why we wanted to bring the show to Hayward ,” says Fr . Ramon Gomez , parish priest of All Saints Parish in Hayward . Together with Fr . Alberto Perez , they performed with

countless families lost their homes . But through the generous donations from SM Cares Foundation and other groups , 400 families received their ANCOP homes in Tacloban . SM pledged a total of 1000 AN- COP homes for the Haiyan victims .
The inauguration was attended by SM mall magnate Hans Sy and Canadian Ambassador to the the group in two special numbers .
Allen del Rosario , the parish Musical Director , also believed in the message of the show , and as a participation , he conducted the parish choir to be part of the singing ensemble . Moms and daughter members of the parish also joined in one of the numbers .
RHWN was first staged in 2013 at the River Rock Theatre in Richmond to benefit ANCOP and the White Fathers , and since then , it has raised over $ 200,000 for these charities as well as St . Matthew ’ s , St . Paul ’ s , Immaculate Conception School Delta and St . Jude ’ s parishes . The show has been running for four years and has staged ten shows .

After the show , the group went to Disneyland in Anaheim where they had a chance to do a voice acting workshop with Vangie Gunn , Voice over and Session Singer of The Walt Disney Company , where they were able to record their singing and acting voices at the Disney Performing Arts .
