Mariel gives birth !
Mariel Rodriguez has given
birth to a girl, to be named Isabella, in the US last Monday, Nov.
14.
Baby Isabella is the first child
of the celebrity couple, who got
married on August 19, 2010 in
India.
Robin Padilla, Mariel’s husband, was able to watch Isabella’s birth thru video chat. The
actor tried his best to get US visa
to be with his wife for the birth
but was denied because of a past
conviction.
“Isabella was born 7:56 a.m.
on November 14, 2016, 7.3
lbs and 20 inches,” Robin announced on social media.
Last Monday, Robin posted
a video of his wife experiencing
contractions.
“Isabella’s head is already
low. Today is November 13 here.
Isabella is the one who decides,
not anyone else. It’s Isabella, not
the doctor, not anyone, not me,
not you, not anyone, it’s Isabella.
She said now. I woke up from the
pain,” Rodriguez said.
“I don’t think I’m going to survive without a med, it’s too painful,” she added.
The worried husband apologized to Mariel for not being by
her side.
“Babe, I’m sorry wala ako
diyan,” Padilla told Rodriguez,
who replied, “It’s
okay.”
Rodriguez first
confirmed
her
pregnancy in May,
eight months after
suffering her second miscarriage.
She flew to the
US in September
to receive extra
care and to deliver
their child.
Jessy talks about Luis, Angel
Jessy Mendiola has revealed that she’s no longer
affected by the rumors that
she caused the breakup of
Luis Manzano and Angel Locsin. She no longer welcomes
negativity in her life.
“Kasi alam kong hindi
totoo. Kapag alam mong
hindi totoo ang isang bagay,
hindi ka maaapektuhan,” she
said in an interview last Tuesday.
The actress mentioned
that her relationship with Luis
is “peaceful.”
“Okay naman po, masaya naman kami. It’s peaceful. Sa isang
bagay na ganito, kapag alam ninyo na masaya kayo, alam niyong
wala kayong sinasadya na bagay
or sinasagasaan na tao, kapag
malinis ang kunsensya niyo, just
go on with your lives. At the end
of the day, kami ang masaya. So
kung anong negative na ibato sa
amin, nasasalag ‘yun ng saya namin,” she explained.
On Angel, she believes that
time will tell if they’d be friends
in the future.
“I’m not saying na talagang
chummy na friends, pero panahon lang iyan,” she opined. “Para
sa akin talaga, kung saan siya
masaya, okay. Kung saan ako
masaya, iyon. May mga kanyakanya kaming buhay. It’s such a
waste of energy kung palagi na
lang tayong nagagalit sa isa’t isa
para sa wala o kaya paulit-ulit
na lang tayong lahat. Blooming
naman siya ngayon. Ano pang
sense kung bakit kailangan pa
nating i-push ‘yung issue na
‘yun?” (J. M. Fe Malaya)
GMA News TV’s Reel Time wins 2016 Asia-Pacific Child Rights
Award, gets Asia Rainbow TV nomination together
with Naku, Boss Ko!
GMA Network gave honors to
Philippines anew as GMA News
TV’s flagship documentary program Reel Time won the Grand
Prize at this year’s Asia-Pacific
Child Rights Awards for its documentary “Isinulat sa Tubig” while
also earning a nomination from
the Asia Rainbow TV Awards for
Naku, Boss Ko!
“Isinulat sa Tubig” is an eyeopening documentary about a
group of children who needs
to cross a part of an ocean and
trek up a mountain just to reach
their schools. It was written and
directed by Executive Producer
Jayson Bernard Santos.
“We are very much overwhelmed by Reel Time’s third
recognition from the Asia-Pacific
Child Rights Award. The documentary “Isinulat sa Tubig” resulted in a collaboration among
educators from Matnog in the
Province of Sorsogon and viewers who sent donations after
watching the documentary. The
audience’s active participation
in starting small but meaningful
reforms in the education of the
students is the best reward we
received for this story,” said Santos, who received the award from
Andrew Brown of UNICEF East
Asia and Pacific Regional Office
in a ceremony held in Bali, Indonesia last October 24.
