Brownouts hit Metro Manila
The Manila Electric Co.
(Meralco) will conduct power
interruptions in various parts of
Metro Manila on Wednesday to
pave the way for repair works on
its facilities.
Meralco said in an advisory
Tuesday that power interruptions
would be enforced from 9 a.m.
to 11:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
The following areas will be
affected:
• Sta. Sabina St. from J.
P. Ramoy St. including the Villa
Sabina Subdivision in Barangay
Talipapa, Quezon City;
• main road from Hon. A.
Sandoval Avenue including Isla
Homes II and III Compound in
Brgy. Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City;
• M.H. Del Pilar St. from
Caruncho Ave. to Villa Raymun-

do St., Pasig City;
• Barangays Bambang,
Palatiw, San Nicolas, Sta. Cruz
and Sto. Tomas in Pasig City;
• Market Ave. from Elpidio Santos St. to San Miguel
Elementary School including Dr.
Pilapil St. in Barangays Palatiw,
San Nicolas and San Miguel in
Pasig City; and
• Dr. Pilapil St. from near
Dr. Sixto Antonio Ave. to WM
Wood Product in Barangays
Kapasigan, San Miguel and
Sagad in Pasig City.
The distribution utility firm
will also start its maintenance
works along Capri Road in Brgy.
Cupang, Muntinlupa City from
11:00 p.m. Tuesday until 4:00
a.m. Wednesday.
It added that a portion of

H. Santos St. from A.P. Reyes
Ave., including the streets of
Crystal, Rodil and Estrella in
Brgy. Carmona, Makati City will
also have a power interruption
from 11:00-11:30 p.m. Tuesday
and 5:30-6:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
Meralco said it would also
conduct line re-conductoring
works along Chino Roces Ave.
