This year’s guest speaker is the co-founder of the USTAABC and its first President Josie Gonzales. She also drafted the first constitution and by-laws of the association. She was unable to make it to the gathering, but sent her speech to the organization which was read by President Terence Figueroa. The organization gave the Outstanding Tomasino Award to a few BC UST Alumni for their excellence in their chosen field. Those awarded were Jojo Quimpo for Community Service, Rick de Guzman for Leadership, Andrea Navarro for Professional Achievement, and Araceli Fortaleza for Media. On hand to give the awards were USTAABC President Figueroa, First VP Eric Valencia and Second VP Tony Ong. With the theme “Putting Generosity Back in Education”, the USTAABC also announced its Scholarship Awards 2016 - 30th Year Celebration to fulfill its mandate to help deserving U.S.T. students to continue their studies at the university.
