Phenomena Encountered: The Magazine Issue 6 | Page 9

Wednesday 4/11/2018 I was in the HEB grocery at Mueller. I was using one of the small shopping carts, and had only gotten a couple of items. I was finishing up using the almond grinder. When I turned to go back to the shopping cart it moved about 15” and disappeared. There was no sound of wheels or footsteps. I went all over the store looking for it in the direction it moved. Then when I gave up and decided to go get another cart and grab the same items again I went back and the cart was facing another direction over by the almond grinder.

Thursday 4/12/2018 I was driving home and passed a building with a huge orb in the parking lot. The orb was maybe 5- or 10” in diameter. My first thought was that it was the moon.

Saturday 4/21/2018 It was about 11:45pm. I was on the way to the hospital and I saw a cat-sized brown “wisp” moving across the street I was on heading West.

Sunday 5/6/2018 I was lying in bed at around 11pm and I saw a wisp move across me headed towards the window, which faces West.

Thursday 5/10/2018 I heard a couple of scratching noises coming from the dresser when I was working at the computer at about 9am.

Saturday 5/12/2018 Someone stepped off the curb as I was driving by at 10:30pm.

Tuesday 5/15/2018 Someone tickled the back of my neck while I was with dad in ER.

Saturday 5/19/2018 I saw a black wisp move across the street at 10:40am when I was driving.

Monday 5/21/2018 I was in Dad’s room in ICU. The paper towel dispenser, which is motion activated, pushed out a section of paper when I was across the room. It’s mounted in a way that people walking by shouldn’t be able to trigger it.

Thursday 5/31/2018 I was touched on the back of the head and my pillow was moved/pressed. This was at around 9pm.

Friday 6/8/2018 I saw a brown wisp near the floor.

Saturday 7/7/2018 Dad appeared while I was meditating. He was sitting on the side of a bed. He said, “Hey Chief, (He used to call both me and Mom that) are you trying to put me back?” In my grief I have been going over and over our last weeks together and figuring out what things could have not happened that might have given him the ability to survive and come home, and I’ve been saying out loud often that I want him back.

Sunday 7/8/2018 I was backing out of a parking space and I heard a low-pitch buzzing sound to my right. It reminded me of a cicada but a much deeper sound.

Raymond kept a small diary of unexplainable events that Raymond experienced during his time of caring for his ailing father.
