He is just Banks to me

From my own experience, if souls are meant to meet and work together for a cause there is very little that can stop them from meeting. The term “soul mate” is often over used to refer to a romantic relationship. That is not the chase. One person could have meet hundreds of their soul mates in a life time and never realize. That is because they were meant only to teach you a lesson or work with you for a short period of time then they are out of your life forever. When the Divine decides that it time for two people to meet age, distance, and personal circumstances are irrelevant. I learned that first hand one night I was home alone. I was just browsing through my Twitter feed and I spot a post from a gentleman asking if anyone had any information regarding the god Pan. We had only started following each other a few days prior. Honestly I didn’t pay much attention to his page when I clicked the “Follow” button. Now, we were about to have our first conversation in the Direct Message section. Our talk lasted for about an hour or so. He shared the hows and why’s he needed some input on Pan. He went into some details about his past experiences with Pan. What he has learned from others about it, exc. I gave him the best answers and insight I could through my personal knowledge and feelings toward Pan, God of the Forest. After a while we stepped away from Pan and the paranormal in general and shared some things about ourselves. That was unusual for me because I really don’t care to share much about myself with total strangers. With Banks, it was different and it seemed like a natural thing to do. He then e-mailed me a copy of his first book which I enjoyed very much and read in about a day and a half. I offered to write a review for it. Honestly, I thought that would be the just of our interactions with each other. At the time I viewed Internet friendships to be shallow, meaningless, and without substance. I am here to say that I was very wrong. Since then we have a strong bond of friendship and respect. On a side note, I have found is that I could never call him Chuck or Charles. It felt odd on my tongue for some reason. Even writing it doesn’t look right to me. He is just Banks to me. Could it be due to past life interactions between us? Could be…

I am proud to say I was there in the beginning of Death the Show, Banks’ internet radio show that first started out on YouTube. The first few episodes where raw, primitive, and full of trial and error. I really enjoyed them and believed in what Banks wanted to accomplish. He was (and still is) wanting to use his show to help, educate, and connect with all kinds of people in the paranormal realm. I was more than happy to shamelessly promote his show on my Twitter page. I was very proud of him watching him grow as a host and interviewer. Death the Show has progressed and has gained a loyal following. The kind and gifted folks that make up the Death the Show community are amazing. It really has brought people together for the greatest good that may have met otherwise. The dead air and awkward pauses have become a thing of the past. The guests are always diverse and fascinating to listen to their experiences in the paranormal realm. Although I am a rather shy person I call in once in a while to support him and add my own two cents in. On occasion I have managed to help recruit a new guest for the show. At this point I fancy myself an unofficial team member of Death the Show. I don’t work on anything production wise. However, I do a lot of promotion and run a blog that centers around Death the Show and the Paranormal Experiences book series. Coming this far with the show was not a conscience decision. It is just something that happened organically. While writing this I took the time to reflect why or how I stuck with, Banks the way I have. What was the reason when I came up with an idea for a guest or something and send a message to, Banks for his approval? What I have come up with is that I do all of this because I believe in what he is doing and what to be a part (it also helps is a pretty cool dude). I view Death the Show and the Paranormal Experience series as a guide if you will, for the common person that is having unexplainable experiences and doesn’t know what to do; to show that they are not crazy or alone in the world. With that being said I got a peek into the behind the scenes of Banks running his growing show and writing of his second book. I have to say it wasn’t always peaches and cream. I would receive messages from him at night when he couldn’t sleep because he was feeling nervous and didn’t want to wake or worry his family. He heard disturbances in his basement (Yes, the Haunted Basement). One night he was just getting into his car go out somewhere and an overwhelming sense of fear came over him. He was being watched by something dark. Every message he sent me I did my upmost to be uplifts and lend healing words and white light. Banks was scared and on edge a lot when I first met him. His wonderful wife and children are his rock and reason for living, but there are some things that he didn’t know how to express to them without scaring them.

When I first met Banks he was rather unsure about gifts that he has his sensitivity to the paranormal and developing his medium ship skills. He was on edge and full of anxiety all the time. I did my upmost to comfort him and reassure that he was on the right track. To be honest, sometimes I wasn’t so reassured myself. He has dealt with some nasty, negative entities and I really had no idea what to tell him. I worried for his and his family’s safety. All I could do is send white light to them. He asked me often: Why me? Why am I being followed and haunted? What do they want from me? Of course even now I don’t have any answers for him in that regard. The only thing I know for sure is that he truly experiencing something not of this realm. One night we were experimenting with phone apps that are suppose to help detect paranormal phenomena. Like catch EVPs and detect electromagnetic energy, things like that. I had one on my phone going and another going on my iPad. I was asking random questions about my household and not really getting any clear answers. Then Banks and I switched it up and started asking questions for him. That’s when those apps blew up with answers. One question that I asked was “What do you want from, Banks?” I didn’t have much time to wait for a response. Right away it said, “Daughter.” Then I asked to specify which daughter. At the same both of my devices went off, each with a different word. However, each both words were a part of exact street where his oldest daughter lives. To this day just thinking about that night sends chills down my spine and raises more questions. How was it that I received relevant answers for a person that is miles and miles any from me? It has made me believe that in the spiritual realm time, space, and distance either does not exist or is completely irrelevant all together.

It is also common for Banks to send me pictures he takes in and around his home or ask me to listen to recordings he makes (usually late at night), like the infamous three knock recording). One photo that sticks out in my mind is mostly of his fire place. He was having a lot of uneasiness this particular night and that is the reason he felt compelled to take a picture. He made a note to me that there was a face in the fire place. I didn’t pay much attention to that initially when he sent it to me. I wanted to zoom in at take a look in the background where his kitchen and a sliding glass door. Why I had a compulsion to do that I am not sure. What I found was incredible to me. I replied back something along the lines of “I don’t know about your fire place, Banks. I would be more worried about the figure looking through your back window.” I took a screen shot of the zoomed in picture and sent it to him. There was in fact a white tall figure looking in at his house. It had black eyes that seemed so empty and a white hand with long fingers that appeared to be resting on the glass. When time allows it we do pour over old and new pictures of his to analyze and look for paranormal evidence.

Banks has been there for me in my times of need. I, myself, have been going through a spiritual awakening and often not feeling very unsure of my abilities. According to Banks, I don’t give myself enough credit. Perhaps, that is true. I’m still working on it. My husband is a wonderful, loving man. He is my world and the love of my life. However, he doesn’t always understand the paranormal world, nor does he really care to. He has fear of it. Most of that fear steams from the fact that he doesn’t want me to get hurt if I dive in to deeply. I have sent messages about dreams; things have heard and see at work (I work in an assisted living facility) and has always been supportive. He assured that it is all a part of one’s abilities manifesting and that I’m not losing my mind. It is helpful to hear from a third party that you are not crazy. He has also been a cheerleader of mine as I study the Pagan religion that I hold close to my heart, as well as my studies in Witchcraft and Reiki Healing. Banks, is a very open minded and loving person to everyone me meets. He doesn’t look at skin color, political leanings, what religion you practice. He doesn’t see any of that, he sees the soul first and for most. I fully believe that Jesus Christ (whom Banks, loves very much) is proud and is watching over him. What a great mentor and friend he was been to me.
