should recognize how well they are doing, how much progress they have made in comparison
with the former level of knowing they were at.
Criticism 2
There are many complaints from students, parents and teachers that schools don’t teach how
to study effectively.
School shouldn’t assume students know how to learn because they don’t know. They are
not aware what is going on in the brain, they are not aware that they are responsible as
much or even more for their success as a good teacher.
Our project group explored many powerful approaches facilitating learning/teaching processes.
To my mind the most powerful key to the most efficient learning styles are our habits.
Motivation is what gets you started
Habit is what keeps you going.
Good habits help us do the things we need to do to achieve our goals. Bad habits, despite the
best intentions, can and will destroy our chances for success. Why? Because in the long run
habits are stronger than our willpower. Students should be made aware how powerful habits
are. They need time to be formed but once created they will be our biggest allies and. helpers.
Having good habits make us do things automatically with no place for unproductive thoughts
if we feel like learning today or not. ( Sean Covey begins his book “The 7 Habits of Highly
Successful Teens).
Stress Management
A little stress every now and then is normal and even could be vied as desirable. Ongoing, chronic
stress, however, can cause many serious health problems. Our students should be made aware that
too much stress in their lives might lead to ( among many others)
depression, anxiety, and personality disorders
heart and heart and blood- circulation related problems
obesity and other eating disorders
menstrual problems
skin and hair problems
gastrointestinal problems
