During the EP4NG meeting in Martina Franca we focused on the following ideas: 1. The neurological aspects of learning and how emotions affect it (Student’s presentation); 2. Effective management of emotions (with teachers and an art therapist) in order to better develop students’ self expression; 3. Philophers’ debate on Happiness , in order to experiment the teaching method, and also to reflect on what students mean by happiness; 4. Learning styles and strategies, in order to improve self-awareness in learning. Participants: teachers and students of all countries. 1)Neuroscience: During the first meeting day at school, a student gave a presentation on: -how human brain works (neurons, neurotransmitters and synapses) -how emotions can affect our behaviour -a short story of the main scientists who studied the brain The topic had been developed during the lessons at school for the whole group of students involved.The teacher had been Luana Fogli. The audience had been prepared to the particular lexis by an introductory philosophical glossary (see attachment 1; Authors : Tiziana Andreace and Lucia Andreace) 2)Emo-management Teachers: Antonio Cecere, Lucia Andreace, Tiziana Andreace, Luana Fogli Art- Therapist: Rossella Carmignano Philosophy can lead students and adults to discover themselves , to understand their own nature and to try to correct inappropiate attitudes, when present. Actually this section was divided into three different parts: A) Playing with colours in group in a relaxing environment (fig 1 - 4); B) Games of negociation, empathy and trust (fig 5-6)
