Cultural immersion also requires knowing nearby places that are of vital importance to
us. Many of our students carry out their university studies in this city and it is important
as a cultural and historical reference. Once in Cartagena, we visited the ‘Roman Thea-
tre’, 'where a guide explained in English how it was discovered and is still being re-
stored. We also saw the ‘Punic Wall’ that surrounded the city’, the ‘Concepción Castle’
and the History Interpretation Centre of Cartagena.
