After the well done work in the school, all of us went to The Dancing Bears Park. It is situated in a forest area with natural water resources in the Rila Mountain. It is a home of the wild brown bear. Every single bear has its own territory with access to water and plenty of space for climbing. The park is located not far from Belitsa and it is an attractive tourist destination. The aim of visiting the sanctuary was to show our students that caring for animals is a really worthy cause. Protecting nature and its inhabitants is crucial for our environment and they were given a good example about it by the bear keepers and the two foundations looking after the bears – “Bridgette Bardo” and “Four paws”. The best part of the day was the lunch in a local restaurant, where our parents had prepared traditional Bulgarian food for our guests in order to present our cuisine as a part of the Bulgarian culture. Our foreign guests had the opportunity to prepare themselves the traditional Bulgarian dish “banitsa” which was really funny and interesting for them. On the third day of the visit in our country, we travelled to Rila monastery which is one of the holiest places in Bulgaria, established by the heavenly protector of the Bulgarians Saint John of Rila in the 10th century. It is precious not only with
