your customers and their health, and your pocketbook. for your customers and their health, and your pocketbook.
6. Have a Professional Marketer give your website analysis – the online world changes in a Nano second.
How’ s your website working for you? Is it bringing in new customers? Make sure you have a laserfocused message. Do you have an opt-in offer? Is it simple to navigate? Do you have a call to action? If you don’ t have these components, your site needs a makeover. [ See article Hiring a Web Designer for more information.]
7. Online marketing should complement your offline marketing and reflect the very same message.
Don’ t put all your eggs in one basket! While online marketing is critical in today’ s new business world, don’ t forget your offline marketing plan. We must now marry online and offline marketing. Not every one of your customers is online. Many customers are not very tech savvy if at all, and would prefer to get an advertisement, brochure, coupon, or postcard from your pharmacy in their hands. People are very social beings, and while many enjoy the social interaction online, face-toface contact is still paramount, we must not lose sight of that.
8. Consider a Professional For You Marketing Services.
A professional can help your business market with video, initiate mobile text campaigns, create compelling articles and blogs, build subscriber lists, convert more sales, develop promotions and special offers, and get discovered by search engines online.
You are a health care provider, providing unsurpassed care to your customers, you’ re a business owner, manager, troubleshooter, and the list goes on. If you don’ t have the time to create and then manage your online marketing plan find a reputable marketing company that has expertise in pharmacy marketing. It’ s not too late to get in the game!
Online Marketing isn’ t going away anytime soon. In fact, it will just expand at an astounding rate. Keep in mind, marketing your business online, and offline MUST have the same laser-focused marketing message. Embrace online marketing as part of your marketing mix. You will have fewer sleepless nights, and you will reach your business goals like making more money, growing your business, and having more free time with your family and friends.

LIGHTS CAMERA ACTION!
If a picture says a 1,000 words, imagine what video can say! In fact, 1 in 4 Americans watch a YouTube video daily.
Adding video content to your Web site or social media is easier than ever. Whether you use your smartphone, digital camera or a video camera, you can post updates, share tips or just have some fun. We caught up with filmmaker Nevie Owens, Director of the documentary Cancerpants, and she shared her tips to make the most of your videos.
• Know your audience, the closer you are to the subject the more authentic it will feel.
• Get in and get out, keep it short. The idea behind the video is to get customers in your store and talking with you so limit yourself to under a minute and a half.
• It’ s all about exposure. Lighting is one of the most important aspects to making your video not only look good, but feel good. Experiment with different lighting options, but here are a few helpful hints: natural, soft and warm light sources are friendlier and more inviting.
• You don’ t need to own the top of the line camera, but nothing is more distracting than a shaky camera. Get a tripod!
• Do a background check and consider your framing carefully. What are you trying to convey to your viewer? Think about the background when you are framing up your shot. Don’ t put something distracting behind you( unless there is a reason to do so.) Keep you, your audience and your message focused.
• If you have an external mic, then use it. It will eliminate a lot of background noise resulting in better quality audio. If you’ re using the camera’ s built-in mic, reduce the distance between you and the camera. Try to get your sound as clear as possible and be aware of any ambient noises in the background. The hum of a refrigerator or other equipment may not seem loud, but it’ s distracting. Bad sound lets a video down, no matter how good the picture looks.
