pleasure of spending time with Marshall who is always on
hand and helpful to anyone needing his assistance.
Australia - Deborah Shield
Another year has rolled over and once again here in Australia we have had and continue to have diverse weather.
This makes growing our orchids a challenge at times. We,
on the sub-tropical east coast, have had very little rain with
hot, dry, windy conditions that started in spring. My Phals
were pretty stressed out to the extent I think, that a large
number in my collection are spiking and flowering apart
from species. Watering has been a priority. Those in southern states have had adverse weather and will no doubt be
keeping a close eye on their plants. Our shows will be commencing soon as well. These conditions affected one of my
species cross pod to the extent that one died almost overnight. I am keeping a close eye on my remaining pods. I
wish everyone a Happy growing year never the less.
